  1. Start by defining happiness. Happiness is a healthy state of mind
  2. Be patient
  3. Know that you can train your mind
  4. Practice little and often
  5. Don’t let boredom deter you.

 

Books that inspired me most were “The Art of Happiness” by the Dalai Lama and Howard Cutler, “The Joy of Living,” by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and, recently, “The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World,” by the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu.
